The Pitt student section, otherwise known as "Oakland Zoo" or simply, "the Zoo," is located in sections that wrap from behind one basket to the other, along the side of the court facing the team benches. These sections stretch from 6a to 6j, and this large and raucous student section makes Petersen Events Center one of the toughest places for opposing teams to play year in and year out. Tickets in these student sections are not available for purchase on ticket marketplaces, as they are limited to Pitt students only (aside from games that take place during holiday breaks).
